Hearing of an application by the state to have Sylvester Namiwa’s bail revoked had failed to commence at the Lilongwe senior resident magistrates court.

According to information at hand, the hearing failed due to absence of a presiding magistrate.

Namiwa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying he is yet to be informed of the new date for the case.

The state wants Namiwa’s bail revoked for allegedly flouting bail conditions.
