Spokesperson of former President Peter Mutharika, Shadrick Namalomba has described as baseless the resolutions made by the National Governing Council which was convened by the Party’s Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey in the capital Lilongwe.

The DPP NGC has set set December 15 and 16 2023, as tentative dates for the party’s elective conference to be held at Natural Resources College ( NRC) in Lilongwe.

The meeting has also elected Mwanza Central member of Parliament Nicholas Dausi as chairperson for the convention and Baxter Kita as his deputy.

Speaking in an interview Namalomba said the NGC meeting which has sanctioned by Jeffrey wa Jeffrey is illegal and he urged the party followers to ignore it.

Namalomba further asked the Nankhumwa camp to form its own party.
