Namalomba distances himself from fake letter on DPP’s court injunction

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesperson has distanced himself from letter circulating on social media purportedly addressing matters regarding a court injunction obtained by Fredrick Malata and others preventing the party from holding a National Governing Council (NGC) meeting.

The party led by its leader Peter Mutharika was scheduled to hold NGC meeting last Saturday where delegates were supposed to set date for the party’s elective conference.

But the NGC meeting was postponed at the 11th hour following an injunction obtained by Malata.

DPP spokesperson Shadrick Namalomba in a written response said the letter is not authentic and has since urged the general public to disregard it.
