Nalikule Students Arrested For Triggering Violence In Lilongwe

Lumbadzi police in Lilongwe have arrested three secondary students teachers at Nalikule College of Education in Lilongwe for allegedly inciting violence at the institution on Sunday afternoon.
Public Relations Officer for Lumbadzi Police station Felix Kwinyani, has identified the three are Fred Chiopysa, 26, Sosten Simbota, 22 and Vincent Luhanga 24 and have been formally charged.
He says they had to fire teargas to disperse the angry students who were pelting stones at the officers.
According to Kwinyani, the students are accusing the College management for changing the opening date from 18 September to 2 October 2023.
