An inmate from Mzuzu prison has passed the just released Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations with 18 points.
Authorities from Malawi Prisons Service (PS) have confirmed.
Out of 79 prisoners who sat for the examinations, 44 have passed representing 55.6 % pass rate.
The Malawi Nations Examinations Board (MANEB) released MSCE examinations results on Tuesday.
According to MANEB, 51 percent of the candidates who sat for the examinations passed making it the highest pass rate in the last three years.
