Some disgruntled employees from Mzuzu University have come out openly releasing anonymous letters exposing alleged poor leadership crisis that has rocked the public institution of higher learning.
Among other things, the anonymous letters cite issues of growing favoritism in renewal of contracts, unlawful deductions of pension from gratuity payments and illegal constitution of an Appointments and Remuneration committee by the institutions vice chancellor which is working parallel to the existing Academic and Senior Administrative Staff Appointments and Promotions Committee which is provided for in statute number 23 of the Mzuzu university act and statutes of 2007.
Mzuni registrar, Yonamu Ngwira has since confirmed seeing the anonymous letters and says as an institution it is currently consulting and investigating the matter.
