Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is scheduled to address Malawians from 2pm today.

Mutharika’s address comes amid attack of some DPP members in the capital Lilongwe by thugs purportedly Malawi Congress Party (MCP) members.

DPP National Spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the address is directly going to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
