Former President Professor Peter Mutharika who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader has he will kick out of power President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in the 2025 polls.

Mutharika said this at Njamba Freedom Park where the opposition DPP held a public rally on Sunday where the former President was the guest of honor.

In her speech Mutharika said the Chakwera leadership has been tasted and has failed.

“I want to tell you Chakwera that your time is up and come September next year am taking over the plot number one at capital Hill,” said Mutharika while attracting ululation from the people that gathered at Njamba.

Mutharika went further to promise that once voted into power he will turn around the economy which is currently in shambles within two months of his leadership.

He said the current government has failed miserably.
