Messages of condolence are pouring in on the demise of the fourth president of the Republic of Zambia Rupiah Bwezani Banda.
Former president of the Republic of Malawi who is also president of the Democratic Progressive Party Peter Mutharika is the latest to condole the Rupiah family and the people of Zambia.
Banda, 85, died on Friday after a battle with colon cancer, his son told Reuters.
“He died around 1900 hours today,” said Andrew, Banda’s second eldest child, confirming the death.
His demise comes barely twenty days after turning 85 years old on February 19.
