Death has been announced of well-known musician Thomas Chekhumba Chibade.

Chibade died on Wednesday evening at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after a short illness.

It is said that Chibade had a liver problem.

Chibade will be laid to rest on Saturday at his home village, Likaluma, in the Area of Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba.

His death comes barely a week after the loss of another talented artist Atoht Manje, who was laid to rest at his home in Mangochi District.
