Musician ‘Jimmy T’ dies

Local musician James Tsamba nicknamed Jimmy T, who stormed the airwaves in early 2000 with his Mukanva zii ndatsikira kumanda and Usathawe Ngozo songs, has died.

His cousin, Jimmy Zikuthera has confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local media houses in the country.

Zikuthera told Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) that Tsamba died today in the morning after a long battle with pneumonia.

Tsamba took a break from mainstream music industry to focus on his role as a pastor for Divine Assemblies.

Jimmy T will be laid to rest at Mkanga Village in the area of senior chief Kapelula in Kasungu on Thursday.

He is survived by two children and a wife.
