Muluzi attends JZU Tembo’s funeral ceremony

Former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi who is also founder of the United Democratic Front (UDF) is today attending the funeral ceremony of John Zenus Ungapake Tembo at Dedza Stadium.

During the campaign trail ahead of the 2004 Presidential polls, Muluzi labelled Tembo, former Malawi Congress Party (MCP) as murderer, a traitor and big crook.

Mulizi’s utterance dented Tembo’s emerge badly.

Despite all this in 2009 polls, Muluzi endorsed and supported Tembo’s candidature in the presidential polls which saw late Bingu Wa Mutharika under the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) winning the polls with a landslide.

Tembo died last week Wednesday at the age of 91.
