The Magistrate’s Court in Lilongwe has granted bail to former Secretary to President and Cabinet Lloyd Muhara and businessperson Leston Mulli on condition that they each pay a bail bond of K500 000 cash and produce one surety bonded at K10million non-cash.
They have also been asked to be reporting to National Police Headquarters in Lilongwe once every fortnight.
The court has also asked the two to surrender travel documents, if not surrendered already in other cases.
The two were arrested yesterday in relation to their alleged involvement in a loan settlement deal to have Mulli Brothers Limited (MBL) pay K5 billion in 50 years.
