The Magistrate court in Mulanje has convicted seven men accused of being behind a spate of armed robberies in Thyolo, Chiradzulu, Phalombe, Mulanje and Blantyre districts.

The seven were among eleven men arrested on 10th May, this year at a grave yard in Bangwe Township following a tip off by one of the robbers as they attempted to hit some shops and houses in Blantyre.

Meanwhile, Senior Resident Magistrate, Shaheeda Bakili, has adjourned the case of the other four suspects to 2nd August, 2023.
