Information sourced by this publication indicates that part of Msenjere bridge on the M5 road, few kilometers from Nkhotakota District Headquarters to Dwangwa, near Msenjere Trade Center , has been washed away following heavy rains that fell last night, in the district.

Nkhotakota Acting District Commissioner, Ben Tohno, has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Tohno , the matter has since been forwarded to the Roads Authority (RA).

There was no immediate comment from RA.
