Lumezi Member of Parliament Munir Zulu was yesterday arrested by the police after he earlier failed to present himself before the law enforcement officers.
Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said in a brief statement yesterday that the lawmaker is detained and a comprehensive statement will be issued today.
“Police in Lusaka have apprehended Lumezi Member of Parliament Munir Zulu. This was after several requests for him to present himself to police failed,” Mr Mwale said.
Despite claims of having solid evidence, Mr Zulu yesterday said he will not be appearing before the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), which invited him to furnish it with evidence in connection with corruption allegations.
