Police in Balaka have arrested a Mozambican national, Rafiki Matola aged 30 and 7 others in an intelligence driven operation conducted in the district.

Balaka Police Spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha said during the operation, the police recovered two motorcycles suspected to have been stolen.

Meanwhile, the Mozambican National has been charged with the offence of robbery with violence.

“All the suspects, who have been on a police wanted list by Balaka Police Station, will appear before court soon to answer various charges levelled against them,” M’bumpha said.
