Information reaching this publication indicates that unknown thief has been burnt to death by angry villagers in Chitipa District.

The thief is said to have assaulted a Kabaza operator identified as Medson Munkhondya before going away with the motorcycle.

Chitipa Deputy Police Spokesperson Rabson Mkandawire has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Mkandawire, the villagers have also damaged Nthalire Police Unit offices.

No one has been arrested so far in connection with the incident.
