The lifeless body of Chisomo Madalitso, a six-year-old child who went missing last Wednesday, has been discovered today in a well at Chiwembe 2 village, Traditional Authority Malenga in Ntchisi District.

The devastating news was confirmed by Yona Thupezi, a member of the bereaved family, saying Chisomo, a Standard 2 student, left for school as usual on the day he went missing but failed to return home. Concern grew among his family and the community as hours turned into days without any sign of his whereabouts. Desperate searches were conducted in the hope of finding him safe and sound.

The local authorities, including the police, have taken swift action, with the body being transported to Ntchisi District Hospital for a postmortem examination.
