A 23 year old man who went missing in Lunzu Township in Blantyre last week has died while receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital this morning.

The deceased identified as Dayton Kakowa on Friday last week at Lunzu Trading Centre.

“We were contacted by Queen Elizabeth Hospital social welfare office to identify a patient who was brought in by police unconscious.

“It was indeed our brother but unfortunately he died this morning while receiving treatment for his wounds,” read part of the statement from the family.

The deceased is suspected to have been attacked by armed thugs.
