Minister  of Labour Vera Kamtukule has said  the 2022/2023 government internship Programme will take time due to technical problems that it is facing.

Kamtukule has confirmed the change but failed to reveal when the Programme is going to restart.

“The government is committed to skills development and will continue to implement this program alongside other interested private sector companies,” Kamtukule said.

Kamtukule then refutes reports of government’s alleged plans to terminate the internship Programme.

“Just to allay fears that the program has been discontinued by government, this information is incorrect. The program is ongoing,” Kamtukule said.

She further assured graduates who applied for the Programme that the chance is there for everyone.
