Minister Condemns Confiscation of Driving Licenses by Traffic Police

The Minister of Homeland Security, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, has publicly condemned the actions of traffic police officers who have been confiscating driving licenses from motorists during traffic stops.

During an interface with heads of security organs at Area 30 Police Headquarters in Lilongwe, Zikhale advised the police to stop the practice, stating that it is against the law.

The meeting was attended by Malawi Police Service, Malawi Prison Service and the Immigration Department as part of his familiarization tour.
