A private soldier identified as Paul Saini from the Malawi Airforce Force is under investigation for allegedly defiling a standard eight pupil who recently wrote the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education examinations in Mchinji.

Malawi Defense Force spokesperson Major Calvin Mlelemba has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Mlelemba has told the press that the military police is working hand in hand with the civil police on the matter and has since assured Malawians that the security body will not interfere in the investigations in order for justice to prevail.
