The Malawi Congress Party says a ‘state of the art’ party office which it has started constructing in Karonga demonstrates commitment to ensuring equal distribution of resources.

Speaking today afternoon during the launch of the 300 million Kwacha project, party Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka said the party’s founder Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda laid a very good foundation by constructing offices in each and every district of the country.

Mkaka also disclosed that the new office which will cover Karonga, Rumphi and Chitipa districts will be named “Dunduzu Chisiza Building’ in order to honour the departed politician who served in various portfolios during Dr. Banda’s reign.

MCP Regional Chairperson for North-North Region Kezzie Msukwa praised party President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for being visionary by ensuring that the party remains strong by having structures in each district.
