The Malawi Congress Party (MCP), a party in Tonse Alliance headed by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on Thursday hired bouncers to guard party regalia placed in several roundabouts along Chipembere High Way in Blantyre.

This happened as President Chakwera was launching the national data center at the Kamuzu College of Health Sciences (KUHES).

A spot check by this publication found out that the bouncers station at each and every roundabout where MCP regalia were placed as decoration.

According to one of the sources, the bouncers were instructed to guard the regalia following speculations that some people were planning to uproot all MCP flags and regalia placed on the roads.

Blantyre and some parts of the Southern region are regarded as the bedroom for the main opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and MCP is not wanted.
