Organizers of Maso Awards have unveiled the list of nominees for this year’s event, scheduled for November 26th at the BICC Auditorium in the capital city, Lilongwe.

Addressing the media in Lilongwe Chief Executive Officer of Maso Awards, Augustine Mukisi, said this year’s awards will be exceptional and more exciting.

He encouraged the public to anticipate a unique atmosphere on the day of the event and urged everyone to vote for their favorite artists to increase their chances of winning.

Running under the theme ‘Towards Wealth Creation and Self Reliance through Arts’, more than 135 artists have been nominated with voting starting on Thursday and closing on November 24 2023.

Legendary musician Sir Paul Banda is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award whereas social media influencer Pemphero Mphande will receive the Maso Humanitarian Award.

Zeze Kingston, Malinga Mafia, Kell Kay, and the duo Kineo & Aidfest are at the forefront of the nominations, each receiving nominations in three different categories. Notably, the nomination list introduces new categories such as Social Media Content Creator, Graphic Designer, and Photography.
