An assurance has gone out to parents and guardians that Maranatha Academy, one of the country’s leading academic institution, will sustain its progress of having its students performing better during Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) exams and consequently sending them into different public universities.
The institution is, among others, attributing to creativity in running its affairs as one of the contributing factors to better performance.
The performance has been witnessed in the recent cohort of students who have been selected into various public universities where it has emerged that 235 of them are from Maranatha Academy.
“We have got a team which listens and I’m glad that once we make plans, we implement them accordingly,” said Ernest Kaonga, the school’s director who added that apart from being creative, the school puts its everything it does in God’s hands.
“The only thing which we believe is that God is guiding us because ideas just come. If we adopt new ideas this year for running our fairs, do not expect us to use the same ideas next year,” he added.
Kaonga was speaking this today in Blantyre during a graduation ceremony of the school’s 2022 students.
The graduation, according to the director, is aimed at motivating the students as well as empowering them with knowledge and skills that are relevant in their academic, spiritual and social life.
Kaonga says these motivations prepare the students for their next level of education which is tertiary where once enrolled for various programs, they pursue them to the thorough end without being ‘weeded.’
“Our kids go there out of hard work. They go there for school only. Nothing else. You will rarely find our student indulging him or herself in bad behaviors because we cook here into the right direction,”
Meanwhile, Maranatha Academy has pledged its commitment of promoting quality education in the country through various interventions and hence called on parents and guardians to send their subjects to the institution for better results.
Apart from focusing on good academic results, the school also trains the children more on accepted morals in the society for good behavior and tolerance.
