The Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) says it will administer deferred examinations to Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) and Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) candidates who registered for the 2023 examinations but could not sit for the exams because their fees were misused by some school administrators.
In a statement from Maneb, the deferred examinations will be administered at the end of this month and the timetable will be released soon.
“In this regard we are requesting all schools that have candidates, who were affected in this way to write to Maneb executive director by 7th June, 2023. Schools are required to indicate the actual number of the affected candidates,” the statement reads in part.
