Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) says it will administer deferred Malawi School Certificate of Education Examinations (MSCE) to four candidates, whose already written examination papers were stolen by unknown people, who broke into an examination warehouse at Bulala Community day secondary school in Mzimba district on Sunday night.

According to a statement from the examination body released on Tuesday and signed by its Executive Director Professor Dorothy Nampota, the unknown people tampered with 9 envelopes of already written examination papers

They tampered with envelops for Agriculture paper 1, Biology paper 1, English paper 1, 2 and 3, Mathematics paper 1 and 2, social and Life skills paper 1 and 2, while examination scripts for four candidates were stolen from the building.

MANEB is scheduled to conduct the deferred examinations to the four candidates from Thursday up to Sunday.

National Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya told Zodiak Online on Monday that they are investigating the issue, but no arrests have been made so far.-ZODIAK ONLINE
