Soche Police Station in Blantyre has arrested 28-year-old Vincent Petrol for stealing property valued at over K12 million belonging to his employer, Gerald Chunga at Kanjedza Forest in the city.

Aaron Chilala, Soche Police spokesperson, said Petrol was employed as a caretaker at Chunga’s plot.

One day when Chunga went to inspect his plot, he was surprised to find it deserted. Further investigation revealed that several construction materials, including 150 cartons of tiles, 22 flush doors, 50 MDF boards and other items were missing, all worth about K12 million.

Petrol was later arrested at his hideout at Thunga Trading Centre in Thyolo.
