A 34-year-old man is in Police custody in Chiradzulu for allegedly assaulting to death his own biological sister following a quarrel the two had over Masuku fruits.

Chiradzulu police spokesperson, Sergeant Innocent Moses has identified the suspect as Andrew Nomale and her late sister as Manes Nomale, 36, both of Ndala Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kadewere in the district.

The incident happened yesterday when the deceased plucked the said fruits from the suspect’s tree, a development which angered him.

In the course of their fighting, the suspect us alleged to have stabbed the deceased on the right arm close to the chest and she died on the spot.

Postmortem indicates that the death was due to internal bleeding.
