A woman in Dedza at Yahaya village has died after been beaten by her husband.

Village head man Yahaya said the couple started arguing at a bar where they were drinking. The man started shouting at his wife because she was talking to other men.

According to Yahaya, the disagreement continued after reaching home resulting into a fight and the woman died on the spot.

Earlier today some people at Yahaya village wanted to kill the man because of killing his wife but the police came in good time and rescued him.

The body of the woman is at the Mortuary at Dedza District Hospital.
