Man Killed in Mob Justice: Five Suspects in Police Custody in Nkhotakota

Five individuals have been arrested in Nkhotakota for their alleged involvement in the mob killing of a 22-year-old man named Saidi Nkhumbayapalasa.

According to Nkhotakota Police Station Public Relations Officer Paul Malimwe, Nkhumbayapalasa was targeted by the mob due to suspicions of stealing a mobile phone in Kapongola Village within the district.

The suspects, consisting of three men and two women, have been identified as Chikumbutso Chithumba (aged 30), Mike Chithumba (aged 33), Samson Bizwick (aged 21), Benitala Malandi (aged 41), and Eveles Esau (aged 46).

All five individuals are now facing charges of murder in connection with the incident.
