Derrick Amponsah, a Ghanaian excavator operator has been handed a 7 year jail term for biting off a girl’s clitoris during a sexual encounter in his home.
Amponsah, 24, a resident of Manso-Yawkrom in the Amansie West District, was sentenced by a Circuit Court in Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.
Prosecution said the victim, a 15-year-old senior high school (SHS) student refused to give consent for sexual interc0urse when he invited her over to his house to wash his dirty clothes on April 15, 2020 at about 1.30pm.
However, Amponsah dragged the SHS girl inside his room, pushed her onto the bed, and forcibly made l0ve to her, after which he līcked her.
While līcking her prīvate part, the excavator operator bit the girl’s clitoris. She bled profusely.
Amponsah’s mother showed up and provided water for the victim to clean herself.
Police then arrested Amponsah, who admitted to using his fingers, penīs and mouth to abuse the young girl.
He faced three charges—assault, defilement of a child and causing unlawful harm, contrary to Sections 84, 101 and 69 of the Criminal Offence Act 29/60.
