Police in Balaka have arrested Omar Kambanga a 40 year old man for allegedly defiling a 14 year old girl.

According to Chisomo Potani Kanyimbi, Spokesperson for Balaka Police, the minor was working as a maid in the house of Kambanga when she was defiled.

According to reports, Kambanga defiled the girl between the month of September and December until she got pregnant.

Kanyimbi continued that, the suspect will appear in court soon to answer charges of defilement.

Kambanga comes from Nsiwira village, Traditional Authority (TA) Malemia in Zomba.
