An unidentified man died in a road accident in Mzimba at Holera area near Enukweni Trading Centre along Chambo and Jombo M1 Road on Tuesday 27 June, 2023.

According to Assistant Public Relations Officer for Mzuzu Police Station, Rose Chipyola, the deceased was hit by an over speeding vehicle as he was trying to cross the road.

“Due to the impact, the man sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures on both legs. He was then taken to Enukweni Health Centre where he was pronounced dead upon arrival,” Said Chipyola.

The motor vehicle, a Toyota Sienta Saloon registration number CP1012 was being driven by Gideon Jere (34) who hails from Jere Village, Traditional Authority Mtwalo in Mzimba District.
