Magistrate Dorothy Kalua from Ntchisi has handed 10 year jail sentence to 26-year-old traditional medicine man, identified as Samson Chimbaka, to jail for 10 years for defiling a 15-year-old girl.

The state through its Prosecutor Patrick Phambana told the court that the convict committed the crime on September 21, 2022 in the district.

It is said that at the time, the victim was coming from her friends but in the course of her journey, she met the convict at a nearby by who grabbed and masked her face with a cloth before defiling her.

The convict pleaded guilty to the charge and meanwhile Magistrate Kalua gave Chimbaka 10 years to deter would-be offenders.
