A 40-year-old man identified as John Beans from Kaitano village in the area of Traditional Authority Ngabu in Nsanje was found dead this morning outside his house.

Nsanje Police Spokesperson Sub Inspector Agnes Zalakoma, has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Zalakoma said a postmortem has revealed his death is due to a loss of blood sugar.

Sub Inspector Zalakoma said that Beans went to the Mbenje trading center to drink Opaque beer, without eating anything and he returned home very late.

Meanwhile, law enforcers have advised people in the district against consuming alcohol on an empty stomach.
