A young man wished the earth would open up and devour him after being caught attempting to pay for a new iPhone 13 with counterfeit money at Circle (Accra).

In an Instagram video shared by Atinka News, a man is seen sitting on the floor surrounded by others, wanting to reap where he did not sow.

He was told to hold up the alleged counterfeit cash notes while being filmed, with a man whipping him at random intervals with a cane.

According to reports, the man went to Ghana’s Circle Mall and paid for the expensive phone with fake Ghana Cedis, but he was apprehended before he could leave with it.

All of his pleadings for mercy were ignored by the enraged passersby in the popular and densely populated area of the national capital, which is notorious for criminal activity.
