Police in Thyolo are currently searching for Nyozani Phiri, a 30-year-old man suspected of killing his fourth wife, Lucy San.
Deputy police spokesperson, Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti, reported that Phiri had four wives and that the incident occurred after a quarrel and fight between Phiri and the deceased in their bedroom.
Following the altercation, Phiri fled the scene, leaving San collapsed in the bedroom.
The deceased, Lucy San, aged 30, was rushed to Thyolo District Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Phiri is originally from Musowa village, while the deceased hailed from Molande village, both located in the area of senior chief Nchilamwera in the district.
The police are actively engaged in a manhunt to apprehend Nyozani Phiri, the prime suspect in the tragic incident.
