A 25-year-old man, Davie Makayika, has been apprehended by community members of Mkawera in Thyolo on suspicion that he has killed his wife for unknown reasons.

GVH Mkawera has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to the chief, the body of the deceased was found in a heap of sand in Mayera river by some people who wanted to fetch water.

The local leader disclosed that the suspect, was restrained in the chief’s house, as they wait for the police to pick him and exhume the body.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.
