Police in Phalombe have arrested a 24-year-old man, Charles Steven Chikhwaya for being found in possession of medical drugs without a permit.

Phalombe Police publicist, Jimmy Kapanja said the suspect was arrested on 8th September 2023, following a tip that he was keeping and selling various pharmaceutical products.

“Detectives arrested Chikhwaya at Muthuka trading centre where he had over 30 types of assorted medical drugs including Malaria Antigens,” said Kapanja.

Chikhwaya, who hails from Namasoko Village, Traditional Authority Namasoko in the district, will appear in court soon to answer the charges of possessing medical drugs without a permit.
