A 35 year old Malawian woman has taken her own life by drinking acid due to financial debts.

Martha Banda, a mother of 4 was residing in area 23 with her husband who is the retired staff of Malawi Parliament.

The woman is expected to be laid to rest today at kawale grave yard after her funeral service was conducted in Chilinde at her mother’s place.

Meanwhile people are yet to know the actual amount which the deceased has left.

The deceased was a member of Kachere CCAP in area 23.
