Police in Dedza have arrested a couple for allegedly being found in possession of a pangolin and assorted medical drugs.

Dedza Police spokesperson Edward Kabango said the two suspects, who are both witch doctors, claim that they were told by the sprits to use the scales of a pangolin to detect illnesses and know the correct prescriptions.

According to Kabango, police also found bottles of peniciline injections, injection syringes, and depo provera injection bottles .
