During the 2023 International Day for Universal Access to Information commemoration, MISA Malawi called on the government and stakeholders to ensure universal access to reliable internet for access to information.

A recent report has ranked Malawi as the country with the most affordable data prices in Africa and the 29th cheapest globally for the period from June to September 2023.

ICTAM President Clarence Gama says the reduced data cost in the country, as reported by cable.co.uk, will help increase internet penetration, leading to digital revenue generation for the country.
