Following the heavy rains that Lilongwe has been receiving since yesterday evening, the Parliament building is leaking in several places.

This has forced a maintenance team to place pieces of cloth on desks of Members of Parliament whose spots are being affected by the leakages.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo has asked the legislators not to be alarmed by the pieces of cloths.

A team of technicians can be seen doing renovations on the problem areas of the building.
