Limbe Police have re-arrested 19-year-old Yamikani Mbwanda who escape from Mzedi Police Unit cell.

It was on October 16, 2023 around midnight when the suspect, together with two accomplices, managed to escape from the police cell where they were being held for robbery and theft offences.

Public Relations Officer for Limbe Police Station, Aubrey Singanyama, said detectives commenced investigations and on October 18,2023 Mbwanda was re-arrested at Thumbwe in Chiradzulu District where he was hiding.

Singanyama said the suspect was also found with a set of Police uniform suspected to have been stolen.

Mbwanda hails from Nkhukuteni Village,Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre District.
