Lilongwe Police Uncover Murder and Theft: Tsanzo Mazengera Apprehended in Connection to Alfred Dauson’s Death

The police in Lilongwe have arrested Tsanzo Mazengera, aged 38, suspecting him of collaborating with two others in the murder of 25-year-old Alfred Dauson and theft of a phone and K25,000.

Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Hastings Chigalu stated that the incident occurred on the night of November 21, 2023, in Njewa, where Dauson had just left his job at Demera Hotel.

The victim’s body was found at Kamuzu Central Hospital days later, and it was revealed that he died from a head injury sustained during the assault.

Chigalu added that during the investigation, the police discovered that the suspect had sold the stolen phone in Area 36, confirming the involvement of another individual named Majid and Ackim Nyirongo in the criminal activities.
