LILONGWE POLICE RECOVERS 11 CARS

Police in Lilongwe said they have recovered eleven cars that were stolen in the month of October and November from different districts and arrested three people in connection with the syndicate.

The suspects have been identified as Chipiliro Witika, Patrick Phande and a Nigerian national Daniel Frank.

The two suspects painted the vehicles in different paint and changed registration numbers.

Police Spokesperson for Central West Alfred Chimthere said the drivers of the vehicles were drugged first.

Thokozani Michael, one of the victims whose car was stolen said one of the suspects asked for a hire in the district at area 25 as he was dropping other passengers off.

Witika hails from Zomba, Phande hails from Dedza and Frank resides at Biwi in Lilongwe.
