Information reaching this publication indicates that a council meeting at Lilongwe Civic Offices has ended prematurely following disagreement over alleged dubious sale of some plots in the city.

It is alleged that some plots owned by the Lilongwe City Council are allegedly to have been sold dubiously and new owners are currently constructing houses and other structures on the said plots.

When the council convened for a full council meeting today, some Councillors accused the Mayor Richard Banda of being behind the sale of the plots.
